YA ITS A HECTIC TIME FOR ALL STUDENTS OF ENGINEERING COLLEGE. BEING AN IT STUDENT SEEING THE DIFFICULTIES FACED BY SENIORS IS THREATENING.
I WAS REALLY CONFUSED WHAT ACTUALLY COMPUTER ENGINEER NEEDS?
HOW CAN HE ACHIEVE THAT .
APART FROM ACADEMICS HOW CAN HE ESTABLISH HIS TALENTS?
LIKE THIS QUESTIONS GOES ON BUT SOLUTION

IN A FAMOUS LEADING COMPANY WEBSITE THEY WANTED THIER EMPLOYEES TO
HAVE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS .

1) CGPA 7.0
2) FINISH A ADDITIONAL INDUSTRY CERTIFICATE COURSE.
3)ARTICLES BY HIM SHOULD BE PUBLISHED IN A MAGAZINE.
4)AWARDS
5) SHOULD CONDUCTED CONFERENCES
6) SHOULD SUBMITTED & WIN PRIZE IN CONTEST LIKE .GREAT MIND CHALLENGE
.JAVAFX CONTEST
.GOOGLE CODE CONTEST ETC.
7)EXCELLENT SOFT SKILLS.

HOW FRESHER OF JUST 3-4 YEARS OF SUBJECT EXPERIENCE CAN HAVE THESE??
I THINK ALL THIS CAN HAPPEN IN 6-8 YEARS GAP FROM HE GRADUATED.BUT AGAIN PROBLEM IS
ONCE HE GRADUATED HE CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN CONTEST SINCE THEY ARE FOR STUDENTS ONLY.
ALSO CONDUCTING CONFERENCE IS ALSO NOT POSSIBLE AFTER GRADUATION.

SO ACTUALLY HOW CAN A STUDENT SUCESSFUL IN ACADEMICS AND EXTRA ACTIVITIES.

WHAT A STUDENT OF GRADUATING IN 2011 REQUIRED.

I LEAVE THE READERS TO REPLY ME IF THEY HAD A SOLUTION.

Sumit, thank you for your comments. You make a great point about blogging. These days a blog is essential and in some cases can nearly take the place of a resume! By blogging about your experience and reviews with different types of software you will be able to show the breadth of your skills. AND, I am always looking to publish student blogs reviewing Sun products here!

Take it easy
"1) CGPA 7.0"
- Can you elaborate this, and also how to calculate your grades ?
"2) FINISH A ADDITIONAL INDUSTRY CERTIFICATE COURSE."
- Believe me, its quite easy to get a beginner certification (scjp)
"3)ARTICLES BY HIM SHOULD BE PUBLISHED IN A MAGAZINE."
- Blog about it, of course.(I've been asked to give articles, but they never went to publication)
"5) SHOULD CONDUCTED CONFERENCES"
- You can do that on your own at your school events, or create a osum event.
"6) SHOULD SUBMITTED & WIN PRIZE IN CONTEST LIKE .GREAT MIND CHALLENGE
.JAVAFX CONTEST
.GOOGLE CODE CONTEST ETC."
- Quite tough but not mandatory, i'd guess
"7)EXCELLENT SOFT SKILLS."
- Needed in all jobs these days
cheers
p.s. :Even I'll be graduating in 2011.

I also wanted to know, I don't know about which company you're talking about, but hopefully they must be either employee-less, or bankrupt since hiring those type of whizkids you have to shell a shit-load of money, I am in 3rd year, and qualify for only 1 of that exactly I suppose, and mind me , that is not the 1st one, so I suppose I should be better get started for employer-less job lol , btw which company you're company you're talking about?

and anyone who can answer.
