Osum Intoductory Meeting for new members
Today i conducted an introductory meeting of OSUM club of our college NIT JAMSHEDPUR.Second year students were invited for this meeting to tell them about the club.
Also information was given to them regarding the following:
a) Benefit of FOSS i.e free and open source software
b)osum community ie www.osum.sun.com/
c) our group in osum NIT JSR OSUM
d)Features of OSUM Community.
e)About technical seminars we wish to conduct in our college.
f)we encouraged them to share their tips and tricks about club.
g) Giving them little idea about open source and site from where they can download free software.
like www.sun.com
i) about technical webinars they can attend and how they can gain knowledge
Over all the event was succesful will students coming more than expected.I hope to a lot more participation in next event because hat will be for students from all the years.
Next event will be Software freedom day.I have planned to conduct it according to schedule of students so that maximum students can participate.
