New Status of Wonderland project WonderSCUT in OSUM SCUT

I'm wanna share the new status of our 3D virtual campus project based on Project Wonderland, which is called "WonderSCUT". Last time, we have built a virtual classroom building which includes virtual classroom, conference rooms and learning centers etc. However, as the precision of 3D models were too high, the client performance was a little bad.

This time, we control the number of polygons and the precision of 3D models, make sure a common modern computer can run it well. Now we are building a virtual museum showing the history and main scenes of our campus - South China University of Technology. Reference to the real museum in our campus, the virtual one looks pretty like the real one.

I believe you can access our museum by this link: http://202.38.192.109:8080/Wonderland/

Some snapshots are as follow:

Hi Jordan,

We are planning to port them into Wonderland 0.5, could you provide some suggestion for us? We made these models by 3DMax and export as X3D files in Blender.

This is great Kevin! What 3D tool did you use to create these models? Are you going to port them into Wonderland 0.5?

Kevin, this is really cool! I've also blogged about this (and linked to your blog) from blogs.sun.com/students.
