Freshmen Welcoming event held successfully in South China University of Tech
We held the freshmen welcoming and OSUM promoting event successfully yesterday, on September 6th. About 300 freshmen joint our event and more than 150 of them joint as a OSUM member (as freshmen cannot access network tempory, they will regist on osum.sun.com later).
In this event, one of our OSUM member Feng Zihao show his JavaFX and SunSPOT demo and those demo were pretty interesting and freshmen were attracted by them. Other OSUM members introduce OSUM and SAI program, and how can these things help with their IT career.
Feng made this demo which the UI was developed by JavaFX and use Sun SPOT to scale and move the picture on the screen:
And he was explaining what is Sun SPOT and what can we do with it to freshmen:
The other demo is a "Brick Breaker" game which was also developed by Feng based on a existing JavaFX game but use Sun SPOT instead of keyboard to control.

Also, we showed other two demo - Wonderland and a Flash video introducing our OSUM club. Finally, it's me.... seems a little hot hehe:
