Hello
i recently worked on Moodle Software. Its really a superb one and a lot better than our existing AMIT software of our college.
Actually MOODLE is a software which is used to keep records of an institution. It has facilities like keeping attendance, uploading any handouts by teacher, giving any ppt by teacher, uploading assignments along with their solutions, giving some problem definition, giving some personell or general notices, start any discussion on ant topic and much much more.
Its really has a lot of daily need components. There is provision for different type of users eg admin, teachers, students etc.Theere are a lot more things like date tracking for students, addition of any new course or teacher and the list goes on and on..
We are thankful to Mr. Aridam Paul,Sum Ambassador,VNIT College,Nagpur for helping us.Other mates involved are Monish,Satyendra,Digvijay and Nikita.
I had installed it on my PC and also on 3 PCs in college in Linux.A faculty seminar will be held soon and then we are planning to impliment this on college level in coming semester only
Hope for the best....

We use moodle for course management and assignment submission here. It's pretty cool. We've integrated this with our LDAP records and we use qmail for notifications. It makes it quite easy for the faculty to manage it as well. :)

Yes its a complete academic monitoring system and the administrator can easily focus more on the content of the site rather on its internal working unlike current system of our college (AMIT) coz everything is already implemented. We just have to know how to make use of it. It will provide a way of easy communication between students and teachers. Lets hope that it is successfully implemented this year.
