The OSUM Community is a great place to learn about the latest open source technologies. Here is a list of helpful, self-paced learning resources to enable you to learn about Java, NetBeans, OpenSolaris, Glassfish, MySQL, SunSPOTs & OpenSPARC.

Make sure to register as a member of the SAI Program to take courses offered through the SAI Learning Connection. There is no sign-up fee and all the web courses are free.

NetBeans Learning Path

The NetBeans learning path will give you an overview of the features and capabilities of NetBeans.  NetBeans is really three things; the NetBeans IDE (Integrated Development Environment), the NetBeans RCP (Rich Client Platform), and the NetBeans Community.

OpenSolaris Learning Path

The OpenSolaris section teaches you about OpenSolaris, Sun's UNIX operating system. It gives an introduction to its command-line user interface, if you are unfamiliar. It also gives you background on some key OpenSolaris technologies: DTrace, ZFS, and Zones.
