Ghost Ship

Woke up to a headache and some interesting theories on the boards. The interesting thing about our time differences is that you guys work while I’m sleeping and vice versa. There is a theory put forth by Hex that is kind of cool. Let me give you some back story.

San Francisco was a Gold Rush town in the late nineteenth century. Many boats were actually abandoned on the original warf by prospectors. After the earthquake of 1906 these boats were filled in with dirt and the coast line of San Francisco was extended. These relics occasionally become unearthed in the course of construction. The General Harrison was one such ship.

Space Oddity

I’m back in PIE Headquarters catching up on posting evidence for you guys. Around 4 this morning I received a voice message from a blocked number.

Baron is alive, at least for now.

Catching Up

Hi Slices,

Returning to PIE HQ has been a mixed experience. All the memories of Baron surround me as I go through our documents, emails and messages. There have been a ton of information and correspondence to catch up on. But more importantly I wanted to be sure to post a few things quickly so we can continue our hunt for Baron. Among these things are:

1. The pictures found inside Lint's folder and

2. The strange message that was left on the PIE answering machine.

I mentioned this in my forum post on Friday and have finally figured out how to get that file in electronic form to post and share with you here.

Looking forward to what your collective minds think but really need to know what the message says.

Keep your eyes open for more items to be posted here as I sort through the mountains of material that have come in during my "absence".

The occupation is over.

Cartel stooges Harry Thompson and Bart Donovan have been removed from the site. The only LEAP was that anybody would fall for that crap in the first place. The comic book angle was a good one though and the key to their false identities. Even a die-hard Spider-Man fan as myself didn’t see it right away. Allow me to geek out for a minute.

HARRY Osborn and BART Hamilton were the second and third Green Goblins respectively. The Hobgoblin, another Spider-Man villain, also had many replacements. Lefty DONOVAN and Flash THOMPSON being the first of many under the hood. But they all failed in the eyes of the fans. Why? Because they weren’t the originals.

See you later phonies; don’t let the Internet hit you on the ass on your way out. Lint Julip gave me the new passwords and Noah gave instructions on how to give those two the boot for good. So you guys can post in peace again. I’m sorry that you were treated so badly in my absence.

I can’t tell you how proud I am of the PIE community for sticking it to those creeps. You organized a resistance, struck at the enemy and you were loyal to your friends. I am humbled to be associated with you all.

Maybe you’re curious why I chose to communicate in American Sign Language? When Alexander Graham Bell wasn’t stealing credit for inventing the telephone, or promoting eugenics he was forcing oralism on deaf students in place of their native sign language. I gambled that a Cartel founded by AGB wouldn’t speak Sign Language and that our community would have the resources to translate it before they could.

Moving forward, we’re still short a PIE guy. His absence is deafening and it’s not going to feel like home till we get him back.

The Baron Files
Greetings from Bart and Harry

Baron Rude and Hector Macchiato were complete frauds. The JUMP theory was never theirs. It’s ours.

My name is Bart Donovan, my partner Harry Thompson and I created a graphic novel pitch called The LEAP. We met Hector at the WonderCon Comic convention last year and shared with him our concept, which is exactly like The JUMP. He and Mr. Rude stole our story wholeheartedly and irresponsibly tried to pass it off on the public as fact.

When Harry and I discovered the site back in March, we immediately issued a cease and desist order. Mr. Macchiato and Mr. Rude ignored our legal requests and in fact began stock piling you tube response videos (sometimes to shows they’ve obviously never seen) in an attempt to win the battle of public opinion.

It didn’t work. The District court of San Francisco forced them to hand over control of the site to its rightful trademark holders and that is us. Any conspiracy elements were introduced in an effort to win your support.

Baron isn’t missing. Hector is not on the run. Baron is a male nurse and Hector parks cars. I know for a fact there both at work today and I could even tell you where but I don’t want to be counter sued for harassment.

We regret to meet you under these circumstances. But the JUMP theory was in fact fiction from day one. To say anything else is a threat to public safety.

But I’ve got good news. Harry and I are going to use the site to engage fans of science fiction and fantasy. We’re big fans of Dungeons and Dragons, World of Warcraft, Halo, Star Trek, Dr. Who and other stuff that you like. We think you’ll find us to be more real and reliable than those who came before.

The first order of business is finding another meaning for P.I.E. Any ideas out there?

Moving Out

I’m taking the advice of the community and relocating PIE headquarters for the time being. I’m meeting Dongle at the office to grab a few crucial items and then we’ll begin communicating from an alternative site.

I can’t make myself watch that video again but I wonder if anybody saw anything that might tell us where Baron is.

As pointed out by Lysithea, Baron left the house with facial hair and appears clean-shaven in the footage. I hate to mention it but shaving a person’s head is one of the things done in preparation of the electric chair.

I’m still in a bit of shock. I, like many of you, don’t want to believe that was Baron, our Baron, looking so helpless.

The Cartel tried and failed to stop me from showing this footage. By the time they found Sidwalking88, it was too late. Now that it’s been seen, I think it’s safe to post it here. I know the wish advised otherwise but then I think, “Hey, what would Baron do?”

He’d post it.

My gut tells me Baron is still alive and he’ll need us to find him. I’ll say more when my hands stop shaking.

M.I.A.

It’s a cold sick feeling that runs through me today. And that’s why I’m asking for your help.

PIE is bigger than just Baron and I now. Ensuring it’s survival and growth is necessary, especially if something should happen to me. The community we’ve formed is full of brilliant, dedicated,and passionate people. I’m proud to work alongside you and I know the community will prosper no matter what happens.

From now on, I’ll be sharing evidence with you as I find it. We will draw strength from each other. The first thing I’ll be sharing with you is Baron’s abduction video. I want to watch it with you. Live. Tomorrow, Wednesday at 3 PM Pacific Time.

But I have to know whom I can trust and whom I can’t. I’ll be sending the specific information out only to registered PIE slices tomorrow morning.

I appreciate your support and friendship during this time.

Alone and Forsaken

PIE headquarters is a strange and quiet place today. I turned on the space heater hoping to hear a friendly abusive voice call out to me…but nothing happened. I am a ghost here, haunting a place that no longer feels like home. Armed only with a USB that I dare not open. Why? Because when opened, some doors can never be closed.

I recognize that’s not an entirely logical way to think. But that’s why I’m here back in the office. So you and I can move forward.

I spent my weekend alone in a crowd. Sat through repeated showings of Monsters Vs. Aliens at the local theatre, going into the lobby to try Barons cell every couple of hours. At a certain point I had to admit, no one is coming for me and Baron is not coming home.

I’m glad you’re here with me now. We’re going to open this USB drive together. Am I scared? Sure. You might be too. But we’re a team and we’ll get through this together. We’ll continue PIE not for Baron but because of him. His voice lingers right above my shoulder commanding me to fight our enemies.

I’m sure he would agree that PIE is bigger than the two of us now. I’m looking for feedback on how to expand our PIE net. The larger PIE becomes the harder it will be for them to silence us.

But before we open that door, I’m going to double check the locks, water the plants and make sure the space heater is turned off.
