In this hands-on lab, you learn how to create Swing Nodes in the JavaFX Scene Graph by mixing Java, Swing, and JavaFX Script. You learn how to build a JavaFX application with JavaFX Scene UI Control Components and Chart Components, which are introduced in the new JavaFX SDK 1.2. You learn how to use the JavaFX Layout manager. Finally, you learn how to build an application by bridging JavaFX Script and JavaScript. You learn how to deploy a JavaFX media player application and add video player controls written in JavaScript.
